RS Racing’s Cat Green is continuing to improve after her massive crash at Oulton Park back in May, during the Monster British Motostar first free practice session. The rider broke her wrist and neck in the incident and she is now back on her feet and is busy with her rehabilitation and treatment.

Green is progressing, and she is hoping that she can get back to full fitness sooner than expected. The medical professionals have told her that it will take a year before she is able to get back on a bike and start racing again, but the Derby racer is confident that she will be back on the starting grid for the start of next season.

“I am feeling really good and I am making progress, and everything is settling down as it should now. I am just hoping to carry on with the progress and have a bit more physio and so far they have said it looks about a year before I start to race again. But I am hoping to get my fitness back a bit sooner and try and improve it so I can come back at the start of the season,” said Green, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

Green, the first woman to win a British Championship race, also suffered a lot of soft tissue damage in her crash, but she is receiving regular treatment and is thankful to the medics and marshals who assisted her so well after she fell at Oulton Park.

“I am still seeing the physio’s quite regularly and the physio’s at British Superbike have held me out tremendously, and I can not say enough thank you’s to the marshals and medics who sorted me out that day because I think that made a huge difference to my recovery.”
