Devizes swearbox Tommy Bridewell has signed to partner Lee Costello in the Halsall Racing MCE British Superbike team under the stewardship of Big Jack Valentine. The strawberry blonde rider split with Bathams Honda last week but was in the paddock at Brands Hatch.
Bridewell is the second big-name signing to join the rookie squad after Valentine signed up at Snetterton. He will make his debut at Oulton Park.
“I’m massively excited to be joining the Halsall crew. It feels like a refreshing re-start to the season for me and this is just what I need. For various reasons, so far 2013 hasn’t gone the way I wanted it to but this is just what I needed. My focus is 100% and I feel really good," said Bridewell.
“It’s exciting to be part of an up and coming team like Halsall Racing and I’m looking forward to working alongside Lee. I have a few years of experience in BSB now and I believe together we can really help develop the team and the bike. It’s the middle of the season and the perfect time for a new start with a new team and new bike. I’m delighted to have been given this chance to be a part of such an exciting project.”
