Samsung Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari will be fit for this weekend's MCE British Superbike triple-header at Oulton Park after some confusion over his injuries after a big crash at the Suzuka Eight-Hours.
Honda in Japan issued a statement that Kiyo had broken his ribs in the highside but that has turned out not to be the case and he is raring to go at the Cheshire circuit to keep his place in the Showdown.
“It feels like a long time since the last round because we had the Suzuka Eight Hours after Brands Hatch. I had a crash there but now I want to focus on coming back to BSB this weekend and do the best I can for the team," said Kiyonari.
"Oulton Park has been a good track for me before so we will try hard and push to try and be fast again and I really hope we can have three good results. We need to have these results to stay in the top six for the Showdown.”
