Graeme Gowland will join the Appleyard Macadam Yamaha Motorpoint British Supersport team at this weekend's MCE British Superbike round at Oulton Park.
The deal could see Gowland remain with the Up That North-based team for 18 months after a third R6 was built for the former Spanish Supersport Champion to join incumbents Bjorn Estement and Deane Brown.
"I'm really happy to be part of the Appleyard Macadam Racing. I can't wait to get going at Oulton Park this weekend but we haven't tested the Appleyard Macadam Yamaha yet so we have a lot of hard work to do, but I'm confident we can be running up at the sharp end by the end of the weekend," said Gowland.
"My aim for the second half of the season is to clinch the first victory for myself and the team but hopefully we can progress up until the end of the year, then we can hit the ground running when we come back for 2014."
