Oulton BSB: Lowes still ‘struggling’ even after topping the timesheets

Samsung Honda’s Alex Lowes is still ‘struggling’ with the handling of his bike, even after clocking the fastest lap around the Cheshire circuit in the second MCE British Superbike free practice session today.

Lowes is adamant that more work needs to be done to his machine, but even with the ‘issues’ that he has he is happy that he was still able to find a good race pace this afternoon.

“I feel good as I really enjoy this place. I struggled today as I had quite a few problems. The position is not important as I need to improve the bike with the handling especially with the rear. With the issues I have got I am happy to be at the front and I am enjoying being out on the bike,” said Lowes, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the circuit.

“I am not stressing at this time of year. I want to improve the bike over the next few races and kick some ass when I get to the Showdown. I have a race tomorrow but I am not being too stressed about being fastest, as it is only Friday.”
