Legendary MCE British Superbike team boss Colin Wright looks likely to make a return to the championship in 2014 after successful talks with the Idaq Kawasaki National Superstock team.
The former GSE Racing boss, who has seven championships and more than 100 wins under his belt, was a guest of the team at Oulton Park and says that he and team owner Mark Roebuck have very similar goals.
"Now that I have downsized my house and don't have any grass to cut, I need something to do at weekends, so it's either go to the pub more or go racing again," joked Wright when he spoke to bikesportnews.com this morning.
"Mark and I have talked about the possibility of working together in 2014 and it looks likely it will happen. I can't go into any detail because a lot of things have yet to be worked out but the plans are good.
"Obviously, I want to go back to winning, like anyone else. I think that the team would like to some advice and guidance in the future and I believe I am able to give them that. Where it goes after that is anyone's guess but I am pleased the team thought of me."
