Milwaukee Yamaha crew chief Mick Shanley will join Tech3's Moto2 team for the upcoming Sepang and Motegi rounds to help with new rider Decha Kraisart.
The professional northerner jumps on a plane on Monday to fly to Malaysia before coming back to the UK to look after James Ellison at the Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike finale before flying out to Japan again.
"It's going to be a hectic shedule but it is nice to have been asked to help out a Grand Prix team with a new rider. I've not done any work with Moto2 before, so it will be a bit of a learning curve but I am looking forward to it," said Shanley, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Silverstone.
