PBM team boss Paul Bird has confirmed that Stuart Easton will return to the team after a year's absence and partner Shane Byrne in the 2014 MCE British Superbike series.
Bird now has only to finalise negotiations with sponsors to complete the package. Byrne is the natural choice for Bird and Easton is a long-time associate of Bird’s - the pair rode together in 2012. It also means the Hawick man will return to Superbikes at the North West 200 next year.
“I shook hands with Stuart over the weekend, so he will come back into the team and we will go and do some road racing as well as British Superbikes," said Bird, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Silverstone.
Bird also said that he might run one of his MotoGP bikes in the Senior TT next year. It is thought that Alastair Seeley has already done a deal with Mar-Train as Easton's replacement.
