Up and coming star Jake Dixon has signed to ride for the Appleyard Yamaha team and will partner incumbent Bjorn Estment who remains for a second season.
The team are focusing on the Motorpoint British Supersport championship this year with no National Superstock entries and have also wheeled in new crew chief Jeff Norval to look after the youngsters.
"After such a positive first half of my rookie season, the highlight being grabbing pole at Brands Hatch, I'm delighted to now be back at full fitness and also to have signed for such a professional and well-established team like Appleyard Macadam Racing," said Dixon, who broke his scaphoid at the end of last year.
"Their experience within the championship is something not a lot of other teams can offer and hopefully we can pick up some good results this year. The field will be as strong as ever but with a race winning bike underneath me and a team fully behind me, there's no reason why we can't challenge at the front from the first round. I can't wait to get out to Spain and get pre-season under way and then start the season at Brands Hatch in late April."
