Milwaukee Yamaha’s Tommy Bridewell is confident he can turn round a difficult start to his MCE British Superbike title challenge at this weekend’s Oulton Park second round.
The Devizes rider came away from Brands with 16 points after two mid-pack finishes but the YZF-R1 has a good history at the Cheshire circuit, so Brideweel is in confident mood.
“Brands Hatch wasn’t an ideal start for me but we have had the chance to reflect on that now and have looked at all the angles ready for Oulton Park. If you look at previous years and who won eventually, the results at the first round didn’t affect the championship,” said Bridewell.
“I feel better about Oulton Park and I look at the success the team have had there previously and that is a huge positive for us before we get started. The first round didn’t go as well as I had hoped but Oulton Park is more a territory that should be good for us and I know we can turn it around and fight at the front.”
