Milwaukee Yamaha’s Josh Brookes isn’t worried he hasn’t ridden at Snetterton for 12 months while some of his rivals have tested there twice this year ahead of this weekend’s MCE British Superbike round.
The title challenger didn’t ride in the big pre-season test at the Norfolk track and has spent the last three weeks at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT, where he upped his best lap space to almost 130mph.
“We hadn’t tested at Oulton Park when other people had but that didn’t stop me winning, so the lack of track time at Snetterton is not a problem,” said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this lunchtime.
“I have done a lot of riding on my bike over the last three weeks so I am definitely sharp. There won’t be a problem re-adjusting to short circuits after the TT and North West so I expect to be competitive.”
