Milwaukee Yamaha’s Tommy Bridewell gained some much needed MCE British Superbike podium credits after he finished on the third step on the rostrum in the second race at Snetterton yesterday.
The Devizes rider feels that he has not had the best of starts to this season, especially after he ended last year with the Milwaukee outfit. But his team have been working hard on getting the bike as comfortable as possible.
It was also one of the first times that Bridewell was able to put pressure on his team-mate, Josh Brookes, which was all positive for the rider - who made his way on to the podium for the first time this season.
“The start of this season hasn’t gone to plan for me. People have said that I look like I was riding the Yamaha better last year, but we have worked hard to get some comfort back in the bike,” said Bridewell, at the circuit.
“The bike feels good and I am enjoying it and the team made the changes that worked. The Kawasaki seems the bike to beat. It was also nice to pressure Josh too, and I feel I have made some head way now.”
