Tinmouth runs out of money cutting short her BSB ambitions

TWR’s Jenny Tinmouth has simply run out of money and at the moment is unable to finish the MCE British Superbike Championship. The racer set a personal best during last weekend’s round at Oulton Park, but her ambitions have been put on hold for the time being.

The Ellesmere Port rider has been enjoying her time in BSB, but without having a title sponsor she has been finding it difficult to complete the rest of the season. Tinmouth is trying to find some money soon and hopes her absence from the championship is only a temporary one.

“This will be my last race for a while as I have run out of money, but sponsors Manx Glass have been great, but I didn’t get a title sponsor at the start of the season. But I am hoping I can come back to BSB and this just temporary until we get more funds,” said Tinmouth, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

“But I have really enjoyed my races at Oulton Park. We had a rush going from wet to dry setting in race three, and I messed up my suspension settings and the bike didn’t handle and I came into the pits. But this weekend has been great for me.

“I did a personal best in qualifying and the race on Saturday was great. On Sunday afternoon I had the wrong tyre choice, as I went with wets but I should have gone in to change them - but I had such fun on the wets I didn’t want to cone in to change them to slicks.”
