Tyco BMW's Christian Iddon was the fastest rider during a damp final MCE British Superbike free practice session at Oulton Park.
Not every racer went out on track, as at first it was declared a wet practice after an earlier rain shower this morning. But with ten minutes remaining to FP3 many did decide to venture out on to the Cheshire circuit.
No one was able to go quicker than Byrne's 1'34.685 lap from yesterday's FP2, but Iddon did put together ten rotations and set a 1'36.731. Smiths Racing's Jakub Smrz went P2 on the timing screens with a 1'36.752.
Buildbase BMW's Richard Cooper did a total of twelve laps, as did Be Wiser Ducati's Glenn Irwin, and they completed the top four, with JG Speedfit Kawasaki's James Ellison fifth fastest on the timing screens with a 1'37.940.
His team-mate, Leon Haslam did go out, but for only two laps and did not clock a time and then retreated back to his garage. Seeley, Jackson, Byrne, O'Halloran and Hickman rounded up the top ten, with the Showdown confirmed, Be Wiser Ducati's Shane Byrne completing a total of four laps in the mixed conditions, to put down a 1'38.729.
