Thruxton BSB: Mossey declared unfit after free practice crash

JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Luke Mossey has been taken to hospital after suffering a huge crash in the MCE British Superbike free practice session this morning at Thruxton.

He was conscious and responsive at the side of the track after his high-side at Allard. He was quickly taken to the medical centre for further assessment. He has injured his back and has a suspected fractured vertebrae.

Before the incident Mossey lapped a 1’15.009, which placed him second on the free practice timesheets at the Hampshire track. He has been declared unfit for the rest of the race weekend.

A statement from the medical team added: “Luke Mossey has been declared unfit after an FP3 crash. He is currently bring transferred to hospital for further assessment and treatment for a back injury.”
