AIRWAVES YAMAHA COULD WRAP UP BSB TITLE AT CADWELL PARK

Airwaves Yamaha could wrap up their fifth British Superbike title at Cadwell Park if rider Leon Camier leaves the Lincolnshire track with a further 21-point advantage over Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton.

The Kent youngster needs to win both races next weekend and Easton to not finish in the points in one race, or for Easton to finish third and fourth, to take the title. It would be GSE Racing's fifth championship, their second in a row and manager Colin Wright's sixth as he won with Kawasaki in the early 1990s.

If Camier is 175.5 points ahead in the series after the second race, he is champion. For Easton to lift the title, he would have to win every single race from now to the end and Camier would have to finish ninth or lower at every round.

The team have won every race apart from the opener at Brands Hatch, which was taken by the returning Sylvain Guintoli, and are the only team who have finished every race, next most consistent are Easton, Gary Mason, Julien Da Costa and Graeme Gowland, who have each failed to finish three times, with Chris Walker and Ian Lowry next on four DNFs apiece.

Wright should get some T-shirts made a bit sharpish...
