AIRWAVES YAMAHA WILL ONLY TEST IF THEY GET NEW PARTS

Airwaves Yamaha team boss Colin Wright has said that his squad will only go testing before the Oulton Park British Superbike rounds if they get new engine parts from the factory in Italy.

Both Leon Camier and James Ellison ran fairly stock motors at Brands, using only kit cams, a kit ECU and some minor work on the cylinder head. Although Wright wouldn't be drawn on what parts they are waiting for, they will bring the bikes closer to the spec of Ben Spies' WSB YZF-R1

"If we get the parts we need from Italy in time to test before Oulton, then we will but if we don't then there is no point," said Wright, speaking to bikesportnews.com. "We know what the bike is capable of in the trim that it is in but I am hoping the parts will be ready soon."
