Two of Airwaves Yamaha's four British Superbike YZF-R1s have finally been started for the first time today and are now being run up on the dyno before being loaded into the race trucks to travel to Brands Hatch tonight.
In what could be describe as cutting it fine, the team will be at Brands for the opening BSB round and will begin to sort out bike setup during the test session on Good Friday, using data collected from Ben Spies' World Superbike before practice begins in earnest.
Despite having done no pre-season testing, team boss Colin Wright is confident of getting some good results this weekend and the squad will go testing as soon as they can.
