Championship leader Leon Haslam has admitted he's ready for the weekend ahead and feeling good after testing on the first day of action in the Netherlands.
The JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider ended today's practice on top with the quickest lap of the day, redeeming himself after finishing the morning session in a lowly 16th.
But after a day back at one of his favourite circuits, Haslam is ready to fight and knows he has to bag as many points as possible on Sunday.
"Day one at Assen has been really good and it is really nice to be back here at Assen because I love this circuit, so I am happy to end up fastest," he said.
"I’m feeling competitive with what we have tested today, so hopefully we can have another two more days of dry and keep progressing because every point is important on Sunday."
