Honda Racing's Dan Linfoot narrowly missed out on a podium in both MCE British Superbike races at Assen, but two fourth place finishes and a total of 26 points means he retains third in the overall championship standings.
The Northerner is a bit 'disappointed' by the lack of rostrums but is happy with 'two strong finishes' and the fact he was up the sharp end fighting for podiums.
Linfoot lost a bit of time in the final race after lapping two-thirds race distance, but the Fireblade rider goes into the final round of the series still in championship contention.
"It’s another fourth and a handful of points in the second race, it means we retain third overall. I lost a bit of time at two-thirds race distance. I was fighting a lot with Ellison and Jason and the leaders just seemed to push on a little bit," said Linfoot.
"I’m a little bit disappointed with that but you got to be happy, two strong finishes and fighting for the podium is where we need to be. I’m happy to go to Brands Hatch with third overall and try to maintain that there."
