Samsung Honda’s Alex Lowes has vowed to ‘give it everything’ to steal the MCE British Superbike win from his fellow title fighter's at Assen tomorrow.
The Derby rider snatched pole from Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki’s Shane Byrne and smashed his own best lap record in the process, but the 23–year-old is not thinking too much about his pole start. To him it ‘does not matter,' as it’s the races on Sunday that are more important to the Englishman.
Lowes knows that he has the pace and speed to be at the sharp end, and is definitely much happier today than he was after the first two free practice sessions yesterday.
“I am riding pretty well, but it does not matter as both races tomorrow are more important and I will give it everything I have got to win,” said Lowes, speaking at the circuit.
“I know that I have the pace and that I have the speed. I have done OK in the last few races and I will give it all that I have got tomorrow, but overall I am happy.”
