Metmachex Honda’s Kyle Ryde was the quickest Monster Energy Motostar competitor in this afternoon’s qualifying sessions, with reigning Dutch Champion Bryan Schouten taking pole position.
Ryde was pipped to pole pole position by just 0.128 of a second after Schouten posted a laptime of 1’47.247 with the chequered flag out. Fellow Red Bull Rookie rider Bradley Ray is third quickest overall, just ahead of Dutch competitor Ernst Dubbink.
The Dutch Championship covers the second row with Jerry van de Bunt heading it in fifth place. Thomas van Leeuwen put his KTM Moto3 into sixth place ahead of Norwegian Henning Flathaug and Red Bull Rookie competitor Scott Deroue.
Joe Irving and his e3 Motosport Honda heads an all British third row, with Irving getting the better of South African Jordan Weaving to take ninth. Champion elect Luke Hedger lies in eleventh ahead of Tarran Mackenzie who crashed out at the high-speed left hander of Ramshoek in the second session.
Other Motostar riders within the top twenty are Joe Francis and Catherine Green, who lie alongside each other in the middle of the fourth row. SP125’s Elliot Lodge came up to 18th on the grid for tomorrow’s race.
