Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes says his second-row qualifying position for tomorrow's opening MCE British Superbike race isn't ideal but adds he isn't bothered about some of the riders in front of him.
The Bringelly man pointedly said that a couple of people who out-paced him in today's session are 'one-lap wonders', intimating they won't be challenging for a podium in the final analysis.
"I’m sort of happy with that even though sixth place is not a qualifying position I’d normally settle for. It’s all about making progression at this stage of the season and while I’d like to be up front dominating, we just didn’t have the pace to do that today. I’m not overly bothered about some of the guys in front of me who I see as one-lap wonders," said Brookes.
