Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier took his sixth British Superbike pole position of the season so far at Brands Hatch this afternoon, setting it with three minutes to go and dipping under the 1'27s barrier.
MSS Colchester Kawasaki stand-in rider Michael Rutter was first out on track and set the inital quickest time of 1'27.974 but that was soon bettered by the PBM Kawasaki of Broc Parkes who went just less than a tenth of a second quicker.
Camier then came out for his first run of laps and went quickest with a 1'27.008 and then went faster again with three minutes left. Parkes stayed in second and team-mate Sheridan Morais pinched third from Karl Harris on his final lap.
Worx Suzuki's Tommy Hill is at the head of the second row with James Ellison and Chris Walker. HM Plant stand-in rider Karl Muggeridge rounds out row two, while Rutter and Stuart Easton are ninth and tenth.

In his usual laidback style, it took Camier only three laps to set the fastest time of the second session with Parkes taking second, four-tenths behind the Yamaha.
Easton was holding second at half-distance but Parkes just pipped him for that spot with Walker fourth quickest and Morais fifth. Rutter dragged himself out of the relgation zone with a few minutes remaining, as did Hill who is on his number two bike.

In a session of crashes which saw Tommy Hill, Steve Brogan, Kenny Gilbertson, David Johnson and Sheridan Morais crash, and Chris Burns blow up, Camier set the quickest lap with a 1'26.999 which was half a second quicker than the PBM Kawasaki of Broc Parkes.
Camier went quickest in the early part of the session and was only bettered by Parkes once with 20 minutes to go but the Kent man put in his quickest lap with a few minutes remaining. Even though Johnson did qualify for the second session, his bike was too damaged to continue.
