VisionTrack Ducati's Josh Brookes goes into this weekend's Bennetts British Superbike finale relaxed and comfortable with a 16-point lead in the title chase.

Brookes has an enviable record at the Kent track having scored more podiums than his title rivals combined with 17 wins sprinkled in.

"Strangely enough, having the points lead has taken away a lot of the pressure and I feel quite comfortable going into Brands Hatch," said Brookes.

"I feel relaxed, which is good and obviously it’s clear I have a very good record around the GP track, so I want that to carry on. I always look forward to racing there and this time is no different.

"The weather forecast is looking good and I’m sure there will be some great racing but I’m ready for this challenge. I just need to focus on working hard and doing a good job and what will be will be.”
