Jake Dixon heads into his final Bennetts British Superbike qualifying session for the foreseeable future in the best possible way after leading this morning’s final practice.
The RAF Regular and Reserves Kawasaki rider clocked the fastest lap of the weekend, a 1’25.109, beating Be Wiser Ducati’s Glenn Irwin and Taz Mackenzie to the top spot as he looks to grab the title before heading off to Moto2 next season.
Smith’s Racing man Peter Hickman set a time just 0.020s further behind the McAMS Yamaha rider, while JG Speedfit Kawasaki’s Leon Haslam went fifth quickest ahead of Buildbase Suzuki’s Richard Cooper.
Luke Mossey went fifth quickest ahead of Josh Brookes, who crashed at Sheene in the final two minutes but was said to be okay.
Andrew Irwin took ninth ahead of Tyco BMW’s Christian Iddon.
