Brands BSB: Fuelling issues niggle Hill

Swan Yamaha's Tommy Hill bounced back from niggling fuelling issues with his YZF-R1 in the opening Brands Hatch British Superbike test today to set the fourth fastest time in the afternoon session, only two tenths behind title rival Shane Byrne.

The reigning champion was well down the order after the the opening hour on track when the fuelling gremlins which caused him problems at Cartagena returned, but Hill was back at the top of the timesheets in the second period and was only better right at the end.

“We had issues this morning in the first session but the Swan Yamaha team have been working hard to resolve it as we had some of the gremlins come back with the fuelling. The team’s efforts paid off though as the bike felt better this afternoon and I am fairly happy. We are a day down here as most of the other teams have tested at Brands Hatch already but I am making headway and feeling ready for tomorrow when we get the practice sessions underway," said Hill.
