British Supersport rider Jimmy Hill is looking to get inside the top ten at this weekend's Brand Hatch British Supersport opening round after struggling to be ready in time for the season.
Hill, who has roped in brother Tommy at every opportunity to make sure everything is as sorted as it can be, only got his ex-Raceways Yamaha finished a few days ago.
“Firstly I would like to thank everyone who have got me here so far, as without all the support from Steve Dixon, the Utag Yamaha Motocross team and everyone else’s product support, it would of been very hard to make the first round," said the youngster.
"I like this circuit very much, firstly as it's local for me, only being around 30 minutes down the road. Having won the Superstock 600 last year by a fair margin, and clinching pole, I hope to come away with a strong finish and battle near the front.
"The championship is very competitive this year, and full of young up and coming racers. Over the last few months we have been flat out trying to get everything ready, we are now ready to go and race, I hope our bike is competitive and strong enough for me to run with the leading pack or top ten, if so I would be very pleased.”
