Hydrex Honda boss Shaun Muir is over the moon with the performance of his team and riders after the first day of practice at the opening Brands Hatch British Superbike race.
Karl Harris and Stuart Easton were consistently quickest in both the dry session today, outperforming the factory HM Plant Honda team and pre-season favourites Airwaves Yamaha.
"I'm over the moon with how today went. We're a private team and we've got the measure of the factory boys so far which is nice," said Muir. "We said before the start of the season that we would be up there and we are.
"It's a great credit to the whole team and both the riders. The pre-season planning and preparation has gone exactly as we wanted it and now we're reaping the benefits."
