Strong rumour in the Brands Hatch British Superbike paddock suggests that Gregoria Lavilla is to make a shock return to the series with the HM Plant Honda team.

Lavilla has had a year in the World Superbike wilderness riding for the Vent-Axia Honda squad and hasn't as yet got anywhere near a podium for the team.

The Spaniard won the British Superbike Championship for the Airwaves Ducati team back in 2005. Neil Hodgson, Glen Richards and Josh Brookes have also been linked with the HM Plant squad.
