Airwaves Yamaha's James Ellison was slowed up by genuine electrical problems at today's opening practice session of the British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch.
The former MotoGP was limited to just a handful of laps as electrical gremlins prevented him from getting any clear track time and he only managed 17 circuits in the second dry session.
"We had an electrical error on James' bike which mean he couldn't do as much as he wanted," said team boss Colin Wright. "But we are pretty upbeat so far because Leon has performed very well considering we only started the bikes mid-week.
"We are looking for just some solid results and I am happy we found this problem today instead of on Monday."
