Airwaves Yamaha's James Ellison was efectively ruled out of both British Superbike free practice sessions at Brands Hatch yesterday with a mystery engine problem.

Ellison's crew had to change a number of parts, including spark plugs and lambda sensors, in order to get to the bottom of the problem but are now hopeful they have solved the issues.

"We had to change quite a few things on James' bike in order to get sort out the problem," said team boss Colin Wright, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning, "but I am confident we will be in good shape this afternoon."
