Cash-strapped SMT Honda have been forced to withdraw from this weekend's British Superbike triple-header at Brands Hatch due to lack of funds and are appealing for help.
The move leaves series veteran Michael Rutter without a ride for this weekend unless he can pull a rabbit out of a hat and join his fourth team of the season.
Team boss Robin Croft has said the bikes are sitting in the truck and they are ready to roll but need a cash injection to enable them to travel to the Kent track this weekend.
