BRANDS BSB TEST: ANDREWS OUT AFTER MALLORY SPILL

MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews isn't riding at the Brands Hatch British Superbike test after a crash at Mallory Park yesterday left him bruised and battered.

Andrews, who has just come back from a successful test session with GSR Kawasaki at Le Mans, crashed at the entry to Gerrards. It is thought that a big gust of wind forced the Evesham man off line and his rear tyre touched the grass.
"I'm a bit bruised but other than that OK," said Andrews. "I will be fully fit for Brands at Easter and I want to go out there and do a good job for the team."

He went to the medical centre after the accident. His ZX-10R didn't fare quite so well in the crash and Nick Morgan's team now have to re-build the bike. Andrews had a similar crash at the same place last year which ruled him out of a World Superbike wildcard entry.
The team were due to fly to Valencia to take part in the official Kawasaki tests this week, but parts arrived too late.
