Former ThundersportGB racer Tom Weeden enjoyed a successful test session on the Taboo Motorsport 125GP bikes at Brands Hatch yesterday despite the mixed conditions.

Team boss Michael Hill elected not to ride and spent time with Weeden and his father sorting out setup issues and discussing the youngster's personal development over the season.

"As a team we have several productive tests and yesterday was all about working with Tom on his own development in preparation for his first race at Brands," said Hill.

"Tom is a talented rider. It has taken a bit of time for him to adapt to the new bike but he is showing a great level of maturity for someone so young."

Weeden added: "My confidence is back and the bike is fast and I can't wait for Brands."
