Moto Rapido Ducati rider Scott Smart has declared himself happy with today's shakedown of his National Superstock 1198S after a two sessions at the Kent track.
It was the first time Smart had ridden the bike and was immediately into quick lap times. This morning's sessions were soaking wet after a rainstorm after breakfast.
"I'm pretty happy with it for a stock bike. I changed the rear spring for a harder one before I went out but it feels good," said the former 500GP rider.
"We will need to do some work on setup and change things like footpeg and handlebar positions, but as a bike straight out of the box, it's really good."
