Airwaves Yamaha boss Colin Wright reckons his team need to get some solid points at the Brands Hatch British Superbike opening round this weekend and added that championships aren't won at the first race.
The team, who only started their race bikes for the first time yesterday afternoon before packing up to travel to Brands, are on the back foot going into the first set of races as they're the only front runners not to have turned a wheel in testing.
"Expectations are high for this weekend and as always we will be pushing for two podium finishes for both riders. Having competed in Superbike racing for over ten years, we know that a championship can't be won at the first round alone, so we will be looking for some solid results to kick-off our campaign for a fifth series title," said Wright.
