Relentless British 125GP rider Shaun Winfield will switch to the British Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend when he joins the TAG Triumph squad alongside Paul Young and Pete Ward.

Winfield recently celebrated his 16th birthday and now feels it's time to move up to the four-strokes but is realistic about being competitive at the  top level.

“I know I’m starting at the top level and that it is going to be very difficult coming off the 125 onto the Triumph, but it’s all about learning and preparing for the future," said Winfield

"My main objective for Brands Hatch is just to qualify, but provided I go quicker in each session and make progress I’ll be happy.”
