Bridewell joins ERC Endurance Ducati for Suzuka Eight-Hours

Britain’s Tommy Bridewell will join the ERC Endurance Ducati team for this year’s Suzuka Eight-Hours.

Bridewell tested with the team at Le Mans last week and signed on for the 2020 race which takes place in November due to the coronavirus shutdown.

‘We did a two-day test at Le Mans, a place that I have never been to before. It took me a few sessions to learn the track but after that we managed some strong, consistent times,” Bridewell told bikesportnews.com.

“We were faster than last year’s pole time on 50 lap old race tyres so we were fast and strong. For Suzuka, it’s going to be a learning curve, understanding things like what rpm we can use but potentially it could be a very strong race for us.

“I think we are waiting to see what degree of support we will get from Michelin. I’m very much looking forward to it and thank you to ERC for the opportunity.”
