Devizes swearbox Tommy Bridewell has split with the Bathams Honda MCE British Superbike team but maintains he would like to be back on a bike at the Oulton Park round in August.
The split, which is said to be mutual, comes after a series of technical difficulties with the Fireblade at Knockhill and Snetterton. The team will continue with Michael Rutter at this weekend's Brands Hatch round.
"My reasons for leaving are obvious but I wish the team well for the rest of the season. I really want to be back on a British Superbike at Oulton Park and stay there for the rest of the season," said the strawberry blonde, rider speaking to bikesportnews.com.
"I have recently really enjoyed my training again and although the World Supersport ride at Imola was anjoyable and a but surprising for myself, riding in BSB is where I want to be at the moment."
