Devizes swearbox Tommy Bridewell is still hopeful of securing a seat in the 2013 MCE British Superbike Championship and is continuing to explore options.

The strawberry blonde rider was in line to stay with the Supersonic Racing team for this season but owner Danilo Soncini had to return to Italy after securing a title sponsor became an impossible task.

"I have got an option in British Superbikes and I really want to stay in the series as I had a very strong year in 2012 and I'd like to build on that if I can," said Bridewell, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"We didn't have anything special last year and we still got into the Showdown. It was a good team and a good motorbike, and we rode well, plus I modified my attitude a little bit.

"I've kept up with training all through the winter as it is important to me to carry on with what I started. I am hoping this option comes to frutition as there are only a couple of Ts to dot and Is to cross now."
