BSB | BRIDEWELL TO RIDE FOR CENTURION AT BRANDS FINALE

After his very strong performance at Cadwell Park last weekend, Tommy Bridewell has secured a seat with the Centurion Racing Team to contest the final round of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Series at Brands Hatch.

Bridewell, who made his debut appearance for the Centurion Team at Cadwell Park, secured a solid tenth place in his first race for the team.

Paul Rees and Gary Stubbington were extremely happy with the youngster’s performance and were eager to offer him the opportunity to race for the team again at the closing round. Bridewell quickly got to grips with the Centurion Honda, still recovering from a badly broken leg he was locked in a tight battle during the race at Cadwell with regular British Supersport front runners.

The final round will take place at Brands Hatch on the 10th - 12th October on the short Indy Circuit. Bridewell will join usual Centurion runners James Westmoreland and Dan Cooper for what is set to be an epic end to the 2008 season.

The 19-year-old from Devizes said: "I wasn’t sure what to expect really but I knew I still had the pace to run at the front and if I’m being honest, I was a little bit disappointed with tenth place at Cadwell. The team was great and they were fantastic to work with and I’m sure that with a few little improvements we discussed, we can really run up at the front at Brands. I’m looking forward to racing the Centurion Honda again and rounding off what has been a tough season in style."
