British Superbike race director Stuart Higgs has confirmed that there will be no changes to the series' three-day format following the announcement that World Superbikes is to cut out Friday morning practice.
Speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening, Higgs said: "We met with our team and manufacturer group last week and they all want to stay as we are. If we ran for two days only, we would have to drop two or three classes.
"The running time is valuable as a lot of teams do not test. Overall, it's more economical than the last time two-day events were used in 2002, where teams did track days on a Tuesday, then went home and came back Friday."
