British Superbike boss Stuart Higgs says that, with the news GSE Racing and HM Plant Honda are to stay, the 2009 championship is now looking bigger and better than ever.
GSE announced this morning they will partner Yamaha next season and HM Plant said before the Croft round they too intend to remain in the series for the forseeable future. However, neither team are in a position to talk about riders.
"Next season is shaping up to be very good," said Series Director Higgs. "It good to finally know those two big teams are staying with us as there have been a lot of rumours about them going elsewhere.
"We still have a lot of other people to talk to in and out of the BSB paddock but I think 2009 will be a vintage season, especially as we are going to keep the new qualifying system and return to World Superbike technical rules."
