BSB Brands: Hedger secures Superstock 600 crown

Gearlink Kawasaki's Luke Hedger secured his second consecutive British title by winning the Pirelli National Superstock 600 crown a year after claiming the inaugural Motostar Championship. CF Motorsport's Callan Cooper dominated the race and did enough to clinch third place in the overall standings.

The Bristol rider came home in eighth place despite traitorous conditions but did enough to secure the title over Jordan Simpkin, who failed to finish inside the points.

"I thought at the start of the race that I would try and stay with Callan, but that was no hope as he cleared off. My main focus was to keep an eye on my pit board and see how far back Jordan was, and the gap was extending from plus one to plus two before it eventually got to plus twelve," said Hedger, speaking to bikesportnews.com from the circuit.

On the last lap I thought let's not do anything stupid and I brought it home, thank God. If I would've adapted to the bike at the start of the year, I could have made it much easier for me but that's racing."
