Fresh from his Thruxton podium, FHO BMW rider Peter Hickman has his eyes firmly on a Bennetts British Superbike Championship victory this weekend at Donington Park.
Hoping to utilise the momentum from his third place in race one at the Hampshire track, Hickman is confident of both his and the team’s capabilities as the season progresses. While the rostrum visit was his second so far in 2021, with three other top-five placings in the past 12 races, the number-60 is admanent it’s not enough.
“We should be on the podium every race to be quite honest,” the Lincolnshire man put bluntly as he prepared for round five.
“We had a podium last time out and we need to build on that, so I am really looking forward to getting back out this weekend,” he continued.
“I feel that we have the potential and the speed to do it, we have just had a little bit of bad luck over the last few rounds, but that is just the way things go sometimes.
“I am feeling really good, the team has been working really well and the bike feels awesome so I am looking forward to cracking on again this weekend at Donington Park. Fingers crossed we get some podiums and maybe even a win or two!” he concluded confidently.
