British Superbike star Dan Linfoot has teamed up with Triumph's former global events manager Gareth Bright to launch Woodcote Events, a premium motorcycle experiences company.
The pair have come up with a unique concept that aims to deliver high-end motorcycle experiences to motorcycle enthusiasts. Experiences that have, until now, only been available for the global motorcycle press.
Out of the race season calendar, professional riders have regularly engaged in off-track activities to ensure their skills and legacy provide a career opportunity when they eventually retire from the race circuit.
Linfoot is not planning to retire just yet but has the drive to get involved in other initiatives which, after plenty of lockdown discussions, led Dan and Gareth to identify a gap in the tour and track day market.
“Gareth and I have developed a strong friendship, having worked together on many Triumph press launches; traveling the world to provide amazing opportunities for the global press to test ride the latest models. We soon realised that these types of events would be something that any motorcycle enthusiast would love to take part in," said the Yoprkshireman.
The concept is simple. To offer the opportunity for motorcycle fans to get closer to their racing heroes, both past and present, and to ride with them in some amazing locations across the globe, with five-star accommodation and a full end-to-end service. This includes getting your bike to and from the destination of your choice.
“Between me and Gareth we have some great connections in the industry and having worked on press launch events alongside some amazing personalities from the world of motorcycle racing, we both agreed that it would be an unforgettable experience to offer enthusiasts the chance to ride alongside their favourite racing legends in these beautiful locations.”
Woodcote Events will offer full package tours and track coaching experiences to motorcycle enthusiasts who want to meet their racing heroes, as well as offering full-service event management to motorcycle manufacturers who are looking for an experienced skillset when it comes to launching new models or wanting to deliver the ‘wow’ factor in motorcycle events.
“We’ve got some great names lined up for our first few experiences including Steve Parrish, Niall Mackenzie, Michael Laverty, Michael Rutter, Maria Costello MBE, Gary Johnson, Taylor Mackenzie, Billy McConnell, James Westmoreland, Joe Akroyd, and Jenny Tinmouth."
