Former MCE British Superbike star Danny Buchan will return to the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 series in 2014 after signing for the Tsingtao Racing outfit and will champion a Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Buchan last raced in the litre-class two seasons ago finishing runner-up to Richard Cooper after securing six podium finishes onboard the Kawasaki. He returned to the championship in 2012, claiming four podium finishes before an injury forced him out of contention and he has most recently experienced both the Superbike and Supersport classes.

“I am looking forward to working with Tsingtao Racing and getting back on the Kawasaki ZX10R in 2014. I will be working alongside some great technicians and guys who will provide me with the package to compete at the front and who I have also worked with in the past so they know me very well. We have a mega testing programme in place so we are looking forward to getting out there, having fun and being competitive as are fully focused to get the job done and take the title," he said.
