Tsingtao Kawasaki's Danny Buchan has got his Pirelli National Superstock 1000 title challenge underway with a test session at Cartagena in Spain.

The youngster, who will race for Dave Tyson's outfit alongside Kyle Wilks and Ben Godfrey on the 600, rolled down pitlane for the first time on the ZX-10R and was quickly up to speed with a best time of 1'35.8.

"I have been having so much fun being back on a Kawasaki ZX10R and it feels mega to have some horsepower under me! We have been working very hard this week to find as much information out and get as many settings as possible to go fast," said Buchan.

"As soon as I got on the bike I felt right at home turning over some very competitive laps straight away. I am now really looking forward to getting some more testing under our belts in preparation for this coming season - boom!"
