New father Christian Iddon is putting a difficult Thruxton behind him as Bennetts British Superbikes heads to Cadwell Park.
Hoping to kick start the second half of the season with his eyes still firmly on the Showdown fight, Iddon has been up against it with injury plaguing the recent rounds.
The Lincolnshire circuit provides a unique challenge but one he’s relishing as he looks to regain his early form on the GSX-R1000R.
“I’m keen to get going this weekend, which I think is always the way after a difficult weekend, which Thruxton was for us,” Iddon acknowledged. “Obviously Thruxton is a very unique proposition and we’ll now put that behind us and focus on finding a return to our form earlier in the season.
“We were making a lot of progress before the injury and since then we’ve had a few difficult rounds. I think now we’ll look to kickstart the second half of the season.
“The Showdown is going to be very difficult, but not impossible. There are six races left to decide it and anything can happen.”
